Client: Curve Tomorrow
Project: Case study & blog
Right in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, I joined the digital health technology company Curve Tomorrow to help tell the story of an ambitious research project.
Australian scientists at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute in Melbourne had discovered that the century-old Bacille Calmette-Guérin (BCG) tuberculosis vaccine might reduce the severity of COVID-19 symptoms. They wanted to test the vaccine among frontline healthcare workers and received a $10 million grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to support the trial.
Curve Tomorrow and its spin-off company, WeGuide, were tasked with building a digital data-collection platform to help monitor the BCG trial. The tech team worked around the clock to build the app in just two and a half weeks.
I was brought in to tell the story of the project and the technology behind it through the app.
